Louis Bernstein (1927-1995) was educated and received rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva University, and served as a United States army chaplain stationed in Heidelberg, Germany during part of the Korean War. After his discharge, he became rabbi of the Young Israel of Windsor Park in Queens, New York, where he remained until his death.
